Sarah Hovinga

With 20 years of diverse experience in biopesticide and agrochemical R&D, Sarah focuses on advancing regulatory policy in digital agriculture, with an emphasis on precision application of pesticides, including drones, and digital labeling. Sarah studied at the University of California, Davis (B.S., Biological Sciences, and B.A., Spanish) and at California State University, Sacramento (M.S., Biochemistry). She co-chairs the CropLife America Drones Working Group and is Vice Chair of the Unmanned Aerial Pesticide Application System Task Force (UAPASTF). Sarah additionally regularly participates in emerging technology forums at CropLife International, CropLife America, OECD, CERSA, EPA’s Pesticide Programs Dialogue Committee (PPDC), the American Chemical Society, and the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers. Sarah lives in the Sacramento area of California, USA with her husband and young daughter and is an avid gardener.
