Joshua Witsoe

Joshua Witsoe is an agricultural scientist at Agroscope, Switzerland’s center of excellence for agricultural research. Originally from the U.S.A., he was trained in social sciences at the University of Washington before earning his MSc in agricultural sciences at Bern University of Applied Sciences, specializing in sustainable production systems. At Agroscope, he works in the Vegetable-Production Extension group, focusing on precision application technologies. His current research evaluates the environmental exposure of spot spraying applications, aiming to quantify pesticide savings and the mitigation of losses to non-target areas. Joshua’s work bridges fundamental research and practical agronomy, contributing to the development of sustainable, resource-efficient agricultural practices.
