Greg is a seasoned expert in global crop protection regulatory affairs, policy, and advocacy, with a distinguished career at leading companies such as Bayer Crop Science, Monsanto, Syngenta, and legacy companies CIBA-Geigy and Novartis. With advanced degrees in Plant Pathology and a deep knowledge of US, NAFTA, EU, and global regulatory landscapes, he played a pivotal role in advancing crop protection tools and securing approvals for 11 new active ingredients with the US EPA. He has been a founding leader of three industry-wide task forces, spearheading global initiatives, and leading groundbreaking regulatory projects. As an active member of the OECD WPP Drone / UASS Subgroup and dsRNA Expert Group, Greg helped to develop regulatory guidance for UAV-based applications and dsRNA-based active ingredients. Greg has also been a leading contributor to successful OECD Cooperative Research Program sponsored conferences on dsRNA, innovating microbial biopesticide testing, and UASS-based crop protection product application. As a former Global Crop Protection Regulatory Policy Lead at Bayer, Greg worked globally with stakeholders to drive regulatory reforms, improve risk assessments, and shape the future of crop protection regulatory policy. He currently works exclusively as a Senior Associate within Compliances Services International under his Doc Watson Crop Protection Regulatory Consulting LLC.
